Why Liberals and Conservatives and
Religious Groups join in supporting the Hallitube System... Liberals want modern transit systems and are opposed to heavy automobile use, and support governmental support for innovative programs beneficial to the public. Conservative and religious groups love their automobiles - but have recently discovered that traffic jams separate them from their children. This is unacceptable for the stronger religious groups which make an effort to be close to their children so that they can transfer their belief system. Separating parent and child is throwing religious values into the wind and results in children that defect from religions, finding solace in electronic games and solitary activity. Or, an absent parent may mean that children not affiliated with the parent's religious group gain influence over the child, challenge the views of the absent parent repeatedly. Whoever is close to a child and provides attention will have the biggest effect in influencing it. Being stuck an hour+ per day in cars adds up: Weeks and weeks of parent-child interaction are lost, and stop and go traffic alters the friendliness and tolerance of the adult toward the child, reducing the quality of the subsequent interaction. So, we are in a non-contest area. A rapidly constructed system reaching everywhere is what is needed both for the environment and oil conservation and for parent-child interaction,. |
