US society, compared to Europe and Japan, has classes. This makes mixed transit difficult.

You encounter:

..(in LA) you are the ONLY RIDER in a cavernous station the size of a city block, 4 stories tall.

...the "aah sir -  what is de time...aa could you give me a dollar, man ?.."

.TV news: ." roaming groups of youths..which were 'wilding' attacked a subway rider yesterday night...."

.."this train cannot leave unless you stop holding those doors back there..."

..sweat and beer smell of riders standing 2 inches from your face...

..50 people pushing toward one door...

..descending a stairway to an entrance to find it locked..with two badly lit characters grinning at you from above.

..."oh sorra, a guess a stepped on your shoes.."

..ear-deafening shrieking of 80 year-old tracks with lung-destroying ozone emissions from ancient motors..

.."his beady eyes were smiling, so I layed down a pattern of fire.." (while you are just trying to get home)

You love New York Subways: but if there was a faster, smarter system, you'd use it !  We will provide a faster  alternative.
